Mareike Bode is a Berlin-based scent artist working with smell as an immersive medium. Her spatial compositions invite audiences to access hidden layers of memory, curiosity and shared experience. Using mainly natural ingredients, she creates unique olfactory blends that explore the quiet power of nature in shaping perception. Her work moves beyond language, engaging the unconscious and the invisible through scent.
With a background in graphic design from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and an MA in Interaction Design from the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, Mareike Bode was part of Smell Lab and then co-founded Scent Club Berlin, a former collective at Spektrum Berlin-Neukölln, giving workshops and exhibiting e.g. at Hamburger Bahnhof, Martin Gropius Bau, Schering Stiftung, Polytech Festival Moscow and MMOMA Moscow. Her solo works were diffused at Rewire Festival, Barbican London, XJAZZ Festival Berlin, Lobeblock Berlin, Unseen Gallery Berlin, Collectible Brussels, Belgium and HEB Dallas, US.
